 Who can join the library?

Any permanent resident in South Australia is welcome to apply to join the Mount Barker Community Library.

Visitors from interstate and overseas and temporary residents may join the library. Limited borrowing privileges may apply.

Membership is not transferable and you are responsible for all items and debts incurred on cards guaranteed by you.

Age 18 and over
You will need to present formal identification showing your name, current residential or postal address and signature. For example: current SA Driver's licence, Health Care card, etc.

Age 16 and 17
You will need to present formal identification showing your name; current residential address, postal address or name of school or University and date of birth.

Age 15 and under
A parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the application and show formal identification and a current Medicare card listing each child.

 What can I borrow?

You may borrow from the following limits:

20 Books   5 DVDs  
10 Magazines  5 CDs 
10 Hear-a-Books   5 CD-ROMs 

You can borrow DVDs, CDs and CD-ROMs for 14 days and 28 days for all other items.
